SUNDAY SCHOOL:
We Believe is the curriculum that we are still using; it has been very good. The
children seem to be very excited about coming to Sunday School and their
enthusiasm is high. Usually the class averages about 10-12 children every Sunday.
This year we started a Sunday school class for youth in sixth through eighth grade.
Reverend Woehl has provided the materials. The six students view themselves as
a “pre-confirmation” group. Each Sunday, we study the same lessons from the
lectionary as the congregation. The students also like to discuss current events.
The Sunday school children also did a Christmas pageant, Just Believe, on
December 19th. The congregation seemed to like the outstanding performance
and that we used the downstairs stage for our production. Our great youth
performers this year were joined with three adult members who demonstrated
they are just youth at heart!
YOUTH CLUB:
Youth Club continued for the children in grades K-6. We went on a fantastic hayride
in October, helped decorate the church in December and are looking forward to the exciting outing planned for February. We try to have a Friday night event every one
or two months. Several activities are planned for the new year.
