Face Coverings Still Required 3/31/21
Updated: Apr 1
A year ago there was a lot of confusion and uncertainty about the need for and efficacy of mask wearing. Now, there is good evidence that mask wearing along with social distancing, and careful handwashing are effective at reducing the spread of COVID-19. While many are vaccinated, many are not, and we want to do our best to care for one another!
Therefore I am, as your pastor, asking that you continue to wear a mask on Sunday mornings, as an effort towards not only self-care, but of showing your care for others. No one loves the masks. Heaven knows I don’t. But I will wear one if it has even the smallest chance of protecting another from suffering with COVID-19. As case counts go down, and vaccinations go up, I too will look forward to relaxing and engaging without masks, but for now, be reminded that our call is to “in humility, value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.” Philippians 2:3b-4
